Explore working fewer days

Working fewer days is not only an income question. It may also change travel, childcare, food, tax, recovery time and what becomes possible outside work.

  1. Duplicate your baseline.
  2. Use a realistic take-home income for the reduced hours.
  3. Change the costs that genuinely move with the schedule.
  4. Compare Remaining and longer-term projections.
  5. Name what the extra time is for.

If the first version shows a shortfall, test a smaller reduction or another connected change. “Not this exact version” is useful information, not failure.
