Name scenarios so future you can understand them without opening every one.
Names that work well
- “Life now” for the baseline.
- “New role, lower estimate” when income is uncertain.
- “Move to Hamilton, likely costs” when location is the choice.
- “Debt first, extra $100 monthly” when the strategy matters.
If timing matters, add a month or year. If uncertainty matters, add low, likely or high.
Worth knowing: A scenario name is also a reminder of its assumptions. Clear names make later comparisons much easier.
